Many of my friends, who left the bank about the same time I left have all ran back to the bank again. For the few I know couldn’t get back to the bank, and had to take up a job less paying than they received in the bank, as well as those who couldn’t either get a government job, a private job or some kind of job, I get asked series of questions many times.
And for business people who get to converse with me too, this particular question tends to come up when I discuss with them.
They ask me; “Tim, how do you survive without a salary from an employer. And I simply say, become one.
And then, they further ask….
How do you survive as an Entrepreneur?
It is simple too.
I tell them………… Sell More….
Bringing this close to you…. It’s important to note this fact.
If you want to advance in your life in any type of way, there is a requirement.
That requirement is to sell.
Whether it be an idea, a service, or a product, here are 7 great sales lessons from a book written by my coach that you can apply to your life TODAY:
Lesson 1: You Need To Be Sold 100% On Your Product and/Or service.
Always sell yourself first. Only to the degree that you’re sold you can sell. Being sold will make you enthusiastic and positive rather than just pressuring someone.
Lesson 2: Get Out of The Sales Business And Get Into The People’s Business.
Whenever you’re selling, it’s people that are buying. It’s been said people don’t care what you know, until they know how much you care. Sales should be about helping people, and you must be able to connect your product or service as the solution to your customer’s problem.
Lesson 3: Agree With Your Customer.
Nobody is going to argue or disagree with you when you’re agreeing with them. Agree, don’t fight. Agree first, and then go into your suggestion. Agreeing with them first will get them more receptive to what you want to say.
Lesson 4: Take Massive Action.
If you don’t take massive action, you’ll default into taking passive action. Your dreams will never come true taking only passive action.
Lesson 5: Build Your Power Base.
Your power base includes your friends, family, and acquaintances. These people know other people who you can reach out to and sell.
Lesson 6: Show, Don’t Tell.
People believe what they see, not what they hear. Present your product or service in a visual way.
Lesson 7: Maintain A Great Attitude.
Do this by avoiding TV, radio, and other media resources that are mostly negative, avoid the “can’t do” people around you, and get others in your life on board with your life ambitions and goals.
Speaking of hanging around the right type of people, we’re down to creating a power base forum where you meet people of like minds gunning for the same purpose. “How To Start A Business Without Money”
I have created this forum on Facebook to bring together like minds that would want to change their Financial positions as well as everything that makes them happier.
It is the world’s best place to connect with like-minded entrepreneurs like yourself.
