I am not doing this because I want to just make you feel somewhat.

I am doing this because I know how broke you are right now.

I also know that your business is beginning to nosedive because you haven’t made reasonable sales in the last few months.

Well, if you must know the truth…… There are actually one million and one people buying the same products or services you provide every day.

The Question is…… Why Then Are You Not Selling?

The reason why they won’t buy from you is what I am about to tell you.

While I was about drafting this piece this morning at about 1:56 am, I thought about our economy and felt that I should ask you this pertinent question because it has suddenly become the national anthem on the mouths of most people I speak with today.

Even big businesses with great potentials complain about it.

Let’s get down to my the Big question……………..

Are we still in recession or out of recession?

Don’t get yourself confused with your head stuck in the rumors of the media and the Government.

In recent times, we’ve had the privilege to read and listen to many media reports as well as the various Government Platforms about the fact that we as a country are out of recession.

To many quarters, credits to their zealousness to defend this story, that the economy is improving.

While there are reports of improvements, the economy you live and work in is still very fragile.

Why do I say this to you?

Because I want to keep you on alert so that you don’t get lazy or complacent!

All the energies and efforts of your business need to be focused on selling.

Your energy should be geared towards sales, sales motivation, and sales training for yourself and that of your staff in order for you to maximize every selling opportunity.

You can’t save your way into being more profitable. Except by selling.

If you own a business, at some point your organization has to successfully make those EXTRA sales.

The fact is this; IF YOU MUST SURVIVE – THEN YOU MUST SELL

Trying doesn’t matter now, Selling and Closing is what matters.

Insist on getting the business now, as though your life depends on it!

Everyone in the organization from the top down to the bottom must be dedicated to getting the company’s products and services into the marketplace.

What’s the point in planning and organizing if you can’t successfully close the sale?

Executive management may think cutting budgets will solve all the problems, It is not about cutting your budgets.

Because, budgets can only be cut so much until you realize that it can no longer be cut in order to generate at least some profits, it’s essential that you focus on being able to close the sale and sell your products.

The top shot in the company may be the CEO, but he or she needs to wear the hat of top sales person like never before.

Selling isn’t limited to a sales team or to ‘select’ individuals.

This idea of selling needs to become the sole focus of the entire company and should flow through each and every employee, with everyone either directly selling or helping the sales team close the sales.

Approach each day and each customer as though the only thing that matters is selling.

Remember, success is your duty, obligation, and responsibility.

Internet marketing for beginners is somewhat of an oxymoron. This is because while in theory, the concepts behind Internet marketing might be quite simple, executing effective strategies can be extremely difficult.

This can even be tough for those who are quite experienced in the world of Internet marketing.

With this in mind, this article will attempt to explain the concept of Internet marketing for beginners and will outline some basic strategies which can help a business owner to launch his own Internet marketing campaign.

I will cover concepts such as creating a website, placing banner ads, sending out e-newsletters, orchestrating an email marketing campaign and optimizing your website for search engines.

1. Creating A Website Or Social Media Platforms

One of the most basic steps for starting an Internet marketing campaign is to create a website. This is very important because the advantages outweigh what social media platforms will provide at this point and time. Though there are social media platforms like Facebook which is already providing almost everything a normal wordpress website would provide. There are limits to how far it can go.

In this context, I shall be talking about both websites and social media platforms as an entity.

If you don’t have a website or have a poorly designed website you should consider creating or re-designing a website to adequately market your products or services. If you do not have experience in web design, there are a number of software packages which make it simple for those with no design experience to create a functional website. However, hiring a web designer is worthwhile because he can work to create a website which is attractive, functional and suitable to your products and services. He can also help you include more advanced features on your website, while you spend your time doing the most relevant things you should do.

For those who would be creating websites for their business partners or subscribers after reading my book on “HOW TO START A BUSINESS WITHOUT MONEY”. The task of creating a website should be given to an expert and ensure to get the web designer paid using the funds you would have gotten from your partner. But don’t just create a website. You must get the web designer to teach you how to post contents. It’s very easy.

2. Explore Banner Advertisements

Banner ads are another popular option for advertising your business on the Internet. Banner ads are advertisements which typically appear along the top of a website but it may also include smaller ads in other locations. Banner ads typically include graphics and text which entice Internet users to click on the advertisement. Once a user clicks on the ad, they are directed to your website. This type of advertising can be very effective when care is taken to place the advertisements on high traffic websites which attract an audience who may have an interest in your products.

3. Send Out E-Newsletters More Often

Sending out e-newsletters can also be a part of an effective Internet marketing strategy.

E-newsletters are essentially emails which may contain a variety of information including informative articles, useful quizzes, relevant advertising or any other information which is deemed worthwhile for the recipients of the e-newsletter. The importance of these newsletters is that they can be used as marketing tools which are not viewed by the recipients as an advertisement.

One way to do this is to incorporate links or other soft sale approaches into the copy of the e-newsletters. However, care should be taken to keep these references minimal so the e-newsletter is not viewed as spam.

4. Email Marketing Campaigns

Email marketing campaigns can be another successful aspect of an Internet marketing campaign.

Email marketing essentially involves sending out emails to a group of individuals who may be interested in your products and services.

Care should be taken in sending out these emails to avoid sending emails which are unsolicited and will be viewed as spam. One way to do this is to only send out the emails to users who have requested inclusion on an email mailing list.

Another way to do this is to provide value in the emails as opposed to just including advertisements. This can be done by offering relevant advice in your emails and other useful information which may be of interest to the recipients of the email.

5. Search Engine Optimization (SEO)

Finally, optimizing your website for search engines is a critical aspect of an Internet marketing campaign. Search engines rank websites according to quality and relevance for particular search terms.

Many Internet users appreciate the effort by search engines and use these search engines to find the best websites on a particular subject. This means the Internet users are likely to only visit websites which rank well with search engines.

Therefore if your website is not high ranking, you are not likely to generate a great deal of traffic from Internet users who use search engines to find relevant websites. Top ranking websites are likely to obtain the most traffic from search engines and all websites falling on the first page of the search engine results will likely enjoy some degree of success in improving their traffic.

IN MY WHOLE LIFE I HAVE BEEN HUSTLING FOR THE LITTLE GUY

Let’s face it, I am the little guy. My entire life I have felt like the deck was stacked against me.

I grew up in my most challenging years without parental abilities to take responsibilities for my day-to-day needs.

My late mother had to be taken to the village to die while we watched her because we couldn’t pay the bills at the hospital anymore.

My father was already in his late 70’s. No income to keep up with the task of parenthood as the paltry N7k was what comes into his pockets at the end of every month for a retired civil servant.

Of course, for many months, he wouldn’t be paid, because of the kind of country we have.

My parents did their best to manage a household with just a little bit of money coming from sales of “Kunu” and a few crops from the farm, year-in-year-out with 8 grown kids and a few other nephews and nieces.

Secondary, University and young adulthood were all very difficult for me. Just getting along with others was sometimes a major challenge.

When I got into manual labor with varying job compositions like scouting and picking up condemned rubber slippers and aluminum pots, teaching at extra-murals & schools, loading and offloading cocoa and palm kernels to trucks, weeding cocoa farms, working in hotels at various capacities etc… and as I got into banking the chip on my shoulder was obvious.

But this made me strong and willing to take the long walk all by myself.

At many points in my life, I had felt the idea of “the deck being stacked against me” which I believe were some of my own making.

However, when I got involved in creating businesses of my own without money, from Telecoms To Health and Real Estate investing in my late 30’s, I saw actual signs of how the deck IS really stacked against the little guy.

I started looking into it and what I discovered blew my mind.

1. Everyone who is from a humble home, I mean a family without the wealth or glamour of riches has so much that is untapped. But that thing called perseverance is killing you. Unfortunately, most people have allowed perseverance to take them out of this pleasant life earlier than they should have left. When you persevere, ensure it is for results, and action must be at work for a purposeful perseverance and a good end. Persevering should only be when you are taking an action and waiting for the results while on it.
2. You wail a lot and no one listens. You complain and no one cares. Even when you cry, you’re being ignored. The truth is, no one is going to come to your house and give you what you want. You must take the necessary steps to get what you want as a little guy. And that starts with your ability to learn a skill that people will pay you, so they can use or have it.
3. You tend to let people make the decisions for you. That leaves you at the mercy of the rich guy. If you must know, you can be valuable to the rich guy so much that he will come begging to have you on his side. And that’s only when you are willing to grow yourself. My advice is for you to develop your skills and become the man they Really, Really need.
4. You think that because no one in your family has made money, you can never be as wealthy as Dangote. But that’s a big fat lie. Have you taken your time to go through the Biographies of the wealthiest people on earth today? 97% of them didn’t inherit wealth. They made it from scratch and had horrible stories just like you too.
5. Who made you feel your case is spiritual? That’s the drama today. You are so scared to take certain actions because you’ve submitted to the will of the spirits. I bet I can say that the spirits are going to be angry with you only when you go after them. But if you take some diligent steps to changing your situation. Your life will change too. The spirits are blind to you.

I can go on and on.

All of these mentalities changed for me, because I dug really dip and I found the secrets of getting rich.

I have made many sacrifices in life, especially for the sake of the ordinary man like me. The little guy who is stacked against the wall.

Well, this may sound like you trying to figure out how.

Look, I have borne the pains of families, friends, and acquaintances without tracing a blood line.

I do this because I know the pains of being broke.

This is the reason I challenged myself to write that book “HOW TO START A BUSINESS WITHOUT MONEY” for the LITTLE GUY who’s stacked against the wall.

What I mean is this. There is nothing wrong with spending for those wants or needs, but if it’s not at the right time and for the right reasons, you are going to get your fingers really burnt.

If You Want To Have A Million Naira/Dollar, Solve Problems For One Million People.

The amount of money you get is determined by the number of people’s problems you are willing and able to solve.

Note that, money follows value creation. Nobody gives you money until they are convinced that you have a solution to a very pressing problem they have and that the problem needs an urgent solution.

So, what are you doing right now?

How does it relate to the common problems around you? How many people have the problem in question? How best is the value (Solutions) you have that will solve these problems?

You are about to end 2019. If you’ve not been able to identify that one problem you need to start solving, then you have to dig deep.

If you have a business and your business isn’t solving problems, then you need to retract and take a dip on it again.

Furthermore, if you already have a business that solves a problem and you are not getting the kind of numbers, it probably may have to be the next tip I am about to share here with you.

If You Already Have A Solution, Then Make Sure You Craft The Perfect Pitch You Will Use To Create An Irresistible Offer. 

This is one major challenge you may be facing. It limits you from making the kind of money you should be making even when you have the best product or services in the world.

You must note that nobody will buy anything from you because they like you after all nobody wants their money to go out of their hands without getting something in return.

The money tip for you, if you want to make money and have a great impact on whatever problem you are solving now or maybe later is to craft a powerful pitch that when those with the problems listen to you, they will have just no reason to say NO, or “Let me think about it.”

Crafting a sales pitch is nothing too big. It is just about listing out the PROBLEMS & HOW YOUR PRODUCT/SERVICE solves those problems.

That’s it…

You must get your pitch down and create value in your offer. It must become so good that people can’t wait to give you their money.

The next tip is another problem a lot of business owners or people who want to make money from selling products or services face almost on a day-to-day basis.

It’s very okay to craft a super converting sales pitch and put it out there for the million people. But that’s not all…..

There is more to it and you should know about it too.

TIP No. 3

If You Want To Increase Your Money, Always Sell………

Have you experienced a difficult time after spending all your money to invest in a business and then, there is no one asking to buy from you?

Don’t worry….. I know how this feels too.

You know what? It is an excellent thing to know that your product or service will solve a million people’s problems. It is also very exciting to craft a powerful pitch and put it up there for those with the problems to see and buy from you.

But what if you’ve done all of these and had gone ahead to spend some enormous amounts waiting to start reaping and no one calls or visits your store to buy from you. That’s definitely a very worrisome experience for business people.

The solution is simple. You’ve got to keep selling………… Period.

Do you know why?

Statistics have shown that for every pitch, it takes an average of 8 minimum follow-ups for your potential customers to take that decision and buy from you.

So, where it becomes necessary for you to keep selling to that particular customer for 16 times more, just keep doing it.

Note in your mind, that it is difficult to spend monies, and people need a full conviction to buy your offer.

When you fail to sell consistently to them, they tend to forget and go for something else that looks almost like yours.

Furthermore, you need to balance your spending approach especially as it bothers on advertising as that may seem like the most important reasons why you need to spend at a time when you have a product that isn’t selling.

There are actually cheaper ways to get your products to your customers and you must learn those skills. For example, Social Media Platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc are doing a very powerful job in this regard.

Just learn how to create contents and you will be cutting down the cost.

Finally, bear in mind that for more monies, you must make more sales.

Simply put “Sell To Survive.”

Let’s talk about the next tip and I am sure, that matters a lot to you too.

TIP No. 4

If you must know one thing about more money, then take this down – “Increase your income streams.”

It’s not the quantity or quality of problems in your hands to solve, neither is it about the number of sales that you make per time. It is about the number of people that you are willing to solve problems for.

This is the more reason, why you must learn to increase your streams of income (diversification).

The fact is, there are countless problems every day that are in dire need of various degrees of solutions.

Let me give you a clear instance here.

Assuming your business involves selling chicken, you could also explore egg sales or probably go into Beef sales as well.

On the other hand, you could explore selling health products for poultry owners or even feeds.

If you decided to extend beyond your niche into other niches that have huge population and potential, then make sure you are prepared to handle the distractions too.

Look and hear me out now.

As much as that business seems dicey now, you must always create more income streams to support draught for anyone of it.

If there is a slow rate of conversion in one, the other should be able to support your continuity.

The good thing about all of these is that you can actually manage all these businesses from the comfort of your room.

Don’t Allow Someone Else To Set Your Goals.

Have you heard about DIY?

Its full meaning is “Do It Yourself.”

There are so many things I have come to learn about money. And this one stands out a million times.

The fact is, nobody cares about you.

Nobody is interested in what goes to you.

Nobody will take that bullet for you.

If all of these are then true, it means that you must always DIY the things that can protect you from being thrown overboard.

It starts with the amount of money you want to make.

If you want to solve a million people’s problems, then you must learn to set your goals for yourself.

Don’t let anyone set your goals for you.

A clear understanding of your goals is what drives you to achieving it.

Even if you have to get people to do the task, ensure that the goals are set by you and that they all follow your goals or get out of the line to avoid distracting you.

Let me make it clearer here.

If you want to make N100 million next year?

Take your time to list out the problems you need to solve to get this money.

Identify the population of people having the problems and ensure the list is as much compared to the pricing to get you that amount.

Go ahead to identify the already existing problem solvers, what they are doing and how you can do it differently (These products or services must be more convenient for the users, more affordable, etc.)

Identify other strategies you are going to use to get to these million people so that you can solve their problems.

All of these and more are GOALS you must set and it must come from you, not anyone else.

Note:

Never, ever let somebody else influence what you can or should do for the year.

It’s been said that “If you can dream it you can achieve it.”

Once you know the amount, then set the strategies you must use.

And go after it every single bit of the way.

It’s all yours to achieve. Anyone supporting you might just be your needed support to achieve your dreams.

Do you know that you’re at the moment one of the most intelligent people the world has ever produced?

Yes, I mean what I said.

You’re so knowledgeable about what you should be doing to get you the needed successes you want but just somehow, you’ve not been able to do it.

Okay, let me just even say it this way.

You know exactly what you should be doing but you don’t know what first step to take right now.

Well, this happens to everyone. Not just you.

The difference is that, while 97% of the people with brilliant ideas are struggling to take the first step, the 3% determined but non-intelligent, the ignorant, the primitive have long taken the first step without thinking about what’s going to happen in the second step.

Fact is, they don’t care….. They just move until they meet the second step.

Today, let me switch-on those sleeping buttons.

I know that sometimes I could be stepping on your toes because I may have said a few things that may have touched on those weaknesses you have.

I want you to know that my messages have nothing to do with any personal grudge with you. I am just being great at what I have chosen to do.

I was very broke at some point in my life and I hoped for Job, For Luck, For Some Promises and Miracles……………

Gosh! These things take away our time.

It impoverishes you.

Until I got jerked as hard as this by the first book I read, I would have probably been dead by now.

Yes!!

Because I didn’t have anyone to run to for money to take care of my needs.

There is no truth more real than this.

YOU NEED MONEY NOW. And you would do the easy things to get money now, isn’t it?

What about the hard things?

Funny enough the things you think are the easy things are actually very hard and do not last. For example, getting a Job, Getting an uncle to send some cash to you, getting some educational qualifications to be qualified for some big jobs and lots.

Okay now check this out.

Assuming you took the time to read only 4 books in a year. And practised those skills from the book. Then apply them.

Do you know that it is forever?

Someone will pay you to get those skills from you.

For example, do you know how much money people make from just helping business owners sell their products on Facebook alone?

That’s just one skill.

In March only, I helped one of my clients to sell his products on Facebook, and we made over Ten Million Naira (N10,000,000.00).

Take a look at the number of people we targeted and reached on Facebook alone here.

Now, many would say “Oh Tim, stop talking about MONEY, because Money isn’t everything.”

Jeez!

Can you imagine that?

If money isn’t everything, I can bet that being without money isn’t everything too. And it’s worst than being with money.

Am I right?

So tell me which is better?

I am certainly going to go for the money.

Today, permit me to just talk about the phrase above.

“HOPING WON’T MAKE YOU GREAT.”

Do you know that a lot of people have resorted to that word or phrase called “HOPE” or “I AM HOPING FOR”…….. Blablabla?

My question is, what on earth for heaven sake are you hoping for?

That’s what keeps most people stagnant and poor until old age. And by the time they realize it, they are already very weak to run around.

My annoyance is with most young men “hoping” to get married to a rich man’s daughter or a rich young woman.

Selecting your man or woman from the arrays of young men and women with some level of cash deposits in the banks is a great “beautiful hope” that comes with disaster.

If you must know the truth, all of these will disappear one day if you don’t have a solid background that protects your income.

And when I say SOLID BACKGROUND – I mean something that will last with you forever.

The only thing that can stay with you forever is your self-development such as the skills you acquire, the knowledge about things that interest you or not and these things are built over time.

I also pity the children we rush to give birth to. It’s sad because when you end up giving birth to these kids, most parents live them at the mercy of the society who ends up falling preys to the hands of the jungle warriors.

Most of these kids have become Slots, Armed Robbers, Thieves, and Scammers and are involved in so many social vices.

So, what exactly might be the reason why most people live these failed lives?

HOPE is the major reason.

Like the 3% determined ignorant, primitive, and non-intelligent people. Hope is just but a spanner in the wheel of progress.

Hoping will never make you successful or rich.

Hoping brings more pains than death. Hoping drains the pocket more than spending frivolously.

While it is okay to hope for the best, make ACTIONS your watchword.

Start that thing you dreamt about. Forget about the inherent risk. Forget about the failures. Forget about the mockery from people. Forget about the threats you’ll receive.

Just take the needed actions and every other things will fall in place.

Remember the story of Darby in the 3-Feet From Gold right?

That illiterate man didn’t hope… He took the first step to acquire the site. And in the second step, went ahead to hire the services of an expert. And the rest became history.

If you are listening to me today, HOPING FOR A BETTER FUTURE WON’T MAKE YOU GREAT. It will only impoverish you the more.

You must start taking actions now.

Learn some great skills.

Read Books.

Get mentors to help guide you through things you want to achieve.
